What is the EPIC floor coating system?
EPIC is a resin-based floor coating from Ultra Durable Technologies. It chemically bonds to the existing floor surface and creates a sealed, wear-resistant finish designed to last 4 to 8 years before recoating. EPIC is built to replace traditional floor maintenance methods like waxing and burnishing with a long-term coating that holds up under traffic and cleaning chemicals.

How does EPIC compare to traditional wax and burnishing?
Wax sits on top of the floor as a sacrificial layer that wears off and has to be reapplied through stripping, waxing, and burnishing cycles. EPIC chemically bonds to the floor instead of layering on it. That means no stripping, no waxing, no burnishing for 4 to 8 years. The maintenance program drops to routine cleaning.

What surfaces can EPIC be applied to?
With proper preparation, EPIC bonds to polished concrete, mechanically ground concrete, VCT (vinyl composition tile), ceramic tile, porcelain tile, quarry tile, natural stone including terrazzo and marble, and previously coated concrete after evaluation. That makes EPIC a fit for facilities with mixed flooring that want one consistent finish across the building.
